#5: Accomplishments

Important things in 2013

1. I could live by myself at Kobe.

In April 2013, I started to live in Kobe. This is my first chance to live by myself. At first I had many difficulties. For example, I had to prepare  moving, looking for new house, buying new furniture...and I didn't know Kobe well. In May and June, step by step, trying many new things by myself, I could make my life-style at Kobe. Now I know the important things of living at Kobe.
I would like to introduce some of them. One is using many types of transportation efficiently. I find that the fare of Shinkansen is sometimes more expensive than that of an airplane, and Hankyu train is cheaper than JR train if I want to go a long way. Next, I can enjoy delicious food in the original restaurant, which opens only there, not franchise. Kobe has many stylish eating places. Finally, I will recommend to carry Pitapa, IC card in Kansai. It's really convenient to buy something and get service.
Now, I can enjoy my university life at Kobe. It's important accomplishment in 2013!

2. I could visit many temples and shrines at Kyoto and Nara.

I belong to the temple visiting circle, "Kojitan". In this circle, we visited many temples and shrines. For example, Byoudouin hououdou, Kinkakuji, Ginkakuji, Kiyomizu, Mimurotoji. When we visit them, we could feel restored completely because of the impressiveness there. I like Japanese antique architecture. In Japan architecture, not only the buildings but also gardens are so beautiful. I enjoyed taking photos, too. My favorite place is Fushimi Inari Taisha,  which has large amount of torii, an archway to a Shinto Shrine. The following photos.

Important things in 2014

1. I would like to visit Kyusyu area.

This is because I'm interested in World Heritage sites. Especially Japanese heritage. So I want to visit Yakusugi, at Kagoshima. Yakusugi is more than 1000years old. It will be powerful and strong. And I want to go to Nagasaki, too. Nagasaki has the large park, Heiwa Kouen.
In the future, I want to take an examination of World Heritage sites, so I want to matke a tour of them when I am a student.

2. I would like to try new sport, riding.

I have ever played many sports. I like sports, for example, tennis, kendo, skiing, and dancing...but these days I want to start new one. I'm interested in riding well because I hear houses are so obedient animals. And houses are so cute. Houses will give me a vital power!! But in order to start riding I need many goods and tools. This is the reason I couldn't start that. If I can prepare money to buy them doing part time job, I would like to start it next year.
And the other reaon I want to start riding next year is..... in the 12 annual zodiac signs, next year,2014 is the HORSE year!

#4 Leadership

1) What qualities or characteristics make a good leader?

I think that good leaders have the ability to listen to and combine the member's opinions and make a decision. If a leader immediately made a final decision, the team would be successful.
And good leader can motivate the other members. For example, if one of the members has trouble, the leader will suggest a new idea and help him. In doing so, he can do next job and be full of motivation.
Leader can see and coordinate the whole. Sometimes good leader can response and cope with the opposition. If one of the member doesn't consent the team plan, leader will listen to him and struggle  to going well. I think that good leader doesn't abandon and give up. But leader don't command the other people. He can support them, suggest innovative ideas, work harder than all the member, have a vast stock of information.
Finally, many good leaders are hard workers, and they make extra special efforts not showing and saying those.

2) Are leaders born or made?
I think leader can be born anytime anywhere. For example at an elementary school, when children line up in order of height, most children can't remember the order. But  if one child can remember  the order, he can line up the other members. Because he has a special information, the order of height, which the other children don't have, he can help and support the other people. He shows Leadership.

#3 How would your life be different without the Internet?

How would your life be different without the Internet?

Now Internet can support my life. Without the Internet, my life will change well. I can't use the SNS. These days the SNS is one of the main ways to connect other people. If I say something about me on twitter, my followers can receive my message. But I can't use Internet, I have to send letters to people with who I want to keep in touch. It's inconvenient for me.
But before the Internet, what are people doing? Was it inconvenient life for them? I think it isn't true.  They enjoyed other things, for example, going outside, spending time to do their hobbies as much as they like because they don't have to check their smart phone or Emails and SNS. I hope that life before  the Internet was more flexible to other's schedules and people enjoyed their own time. I will like the life before Internet as much as now life. Now some people tend to use Internet too much in a day, "Internet dependence". I don't think I have to depend on Internet so much. So it's important for people these days to enjoy their own time and release from Internet.

What is my goal for English?

Hi, I’m Yukiko, Thank you for coming to my blog.
Today I am going to write what is my goal for English.
My first goal is when I can speak in English in my dream. This is because someone that learns foreign language said, “I can learn the language after I can speak in it in my dream.”
But after I can dream in English, I have to keep learning English to improve it. What is my final goal for English? And Why I learn it?
Firstly, I want to enjoy the works in English, Movies, Poems, and TV shows, the newscast…and more. This is because I want to know the cultures in other countries.
Secondly, I want read more documents written in English. This is because the number of documents written in English is more and more than that of documents written in Japanese. For example, when I research “world” and “世界” on Google, “world” hits 1,830,000,000 and “世界” hits 829,000,000. The gap is 1001,000,000In English, I can get much more Information if I can use English.
Finally, I would like to use English as a communication skill in order to work, study, and travel. Now, the world population is about 7 billion and the number of the people who use English is about 3 billion. If I can communicate with people in the world in English, I can experience a variety of things with them.
So in conclusion, my final goal for English is when I achieve something using English  reading, speaking, listening, writing skills in cooperation with people in the world.

Changing Yokohama!

I suggest that holding BIG town meeting of Yokohama in the Internet Web conference with like a Skype. Town meeting is that the mayor gathers the representative of the citizens in hall, and there the people discuss the state of the town' systems. But Yokohama has large population, 3million. She can not hear and see all opinions.  So she should hold BIG town meeting in the Internet Web like a Skype. Many types of people can join it, and will suggest many types of opinions. For example, the women, who have their babies,
suggest in their homes that Please construct more slopes for a baby carriage.
I expect BIG town meeting of Yokohama in the Internet.
